An apartment for a young couple in Moscow that combines minimalism and Japandi styles. The clients asked for a cozy, but cold interior with comfortable upholstered furniture and practical design elements
We revised the original layout of the flat, creating space for a master bedroom and guest roome. The new floor plan also includes a large open-plan living room and kitchen, two bathrooms, two wardrobes, and a hallway
This floor plan provided several benefits. We expanded the living area where the clients can entertain guests, and eliminated long, unnecessary hallways by giving direct access to the bedrooms from the living room. Additionally, we separated the entrance hall from the living area, which helps maintain cleanliness by confining dirt from the street to the front door, preventing it from spreading throughout the apartment
For the interior, we incorporated cold colours but with warm tones and with brass accents. Many of our design choices focused on creating a spacious yet cozy atmosphere. We installed a wooden panel by the front door, extending it up to the ceiling to protect the doorway corners and enhance the overall aesthetic
On the floor in the hallway, in the wardrobe and in the bathroom by the entrance there are ceramic tiles with a white marble texture and light gray beige streaks. Using the same floor finishing allows for soft and harmonious changes from one space to another. In the second bathroom and the kitchen we used a sand color ceramic floor tile also with a marble texture. And the second surface of the floor is a nut parquet
All rooms feature two types of lighting—vivid and soft—achieved through LED lights. During installation, we carefully considered the angle of refraction, resulting in soft, diffused illumination. The customers primarily use the LED lighting to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere in the evenings after a workday
